Job Description: Activity Director Location: Greenfield - 3030 Greenfield Rd., Royal Oak, MI, 48073 Job Summary:

The Activity Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational and social activities for residents of the Greenfield community. The Activity Director will work closely with other staff members to ensure that activities are appropriate for the residents and meet their needs and interests.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive activity program for residents Coordinate and schedule activities with other staff members Ensure that activities are appropriate for the residents and meet their needs and interests Encourage resident participation in activities Assist with the planning and execution of special events and outings Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and appropriate manner Communicate with residents and their families regarding upcoming activities Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in activity programming for seniorsQualifications: Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, or related field Minimum of 2 years of experience in activity programming for seniors Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Knowledge of current trends and best practices in activity programming for seniorsPhysical Demands:

The Activity Director must be able to lift and move equipment and supplies, and be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
