Conducts or assists in day-to-day maintenance of standardized reports and analysis. Interacts with SBUs providing customer service to ensure timely processing of electronic vendor payments. Under direct guidance follows departmental guidelines for manual payments or exception processing within a control driven environment. Provides analysis of payment results and inconsistencies to Supervisor. Identifies and works to help resolve issues as they arise. Presents findings to Supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Under guidance ensure accurate and timely vendor payments in an efficient manner. Work with SBUs to resolve any issues that arise and escalate to supervisor as needed.
Under guidance supports financial reconciliation including data management (i.e. gathering and input of data), analysis and reporting. Identifies and works to help resolve issues as they arise.
Responsible for executing financial controls. Follows risk management and quality compliance processes to include quality control compliance (i.e. OFAC, attestation). Follows safeguards to protect company assets and ensure compliance with Corporate and Company procedures.
Actively participates in department and/or cross-functional projects of low scope.
Identifies, develops and maintains efficient, cost effective, processes, controls and data management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years experience working for an insurance carrier or broker within their accounts payable function is required. Basic understanding of accounting knowledge/skills is required. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and decision making abilities. Requires proficiency with Excel and departmental systems applications.
