Job Summary
The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing payroll and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain payroll records and employee information, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates.
Verify hours worked, overtime, and leave time for all employees.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Create and distribute weekly payroll reports summarizing payroll expenses, deductions, and adjustments for management review.

Assist with year-end payroll processing, including preparation of W-2s and tax filings.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Collaborate with the HR team to support employee benefits enrollment and deductions.
Stay updated on current payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
Perform bank reconciliation monthly, ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting records.
Assist with preparing financial statements and reports as needed by the finance team.
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
Familiarity with payroll software as ADP.
Strong Excel skills.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
Knowledge of payroll regulations and legislation is a plus.
Must be fully bilingual (Spanish/English)
