Caras' activities are focused on improving the quality of life of elderly residents so as to foster their integration and encourage their participation within community development initiatives. By providing support and companionship, elderly residents feel they are part of the community network, that they can continue to contribute towards collective action that seeks to improve quality of life within their communities for present and future generations.
Member Duties :
Member will be collaborating to ensure participation of local volunteers for activities, as a way to foster connections between the youth and elderly population of the communities as well as ensuring the necessary man-power to execute community service. Their tasks will include: recruitment of volunteers, assisting coordination of volunteer service, assisting with supervision of volunteers, providing orientations on importance of community service and care for community members, assisting in community outreach to foster engagement in service, support with surveys and data entry, supporting volunteer recruitment campaigns to help create a bank of contacts and foster recurring participation of volunteers to reach program objectives. Other related tasks could be assigned to accomplish the objectives.
