We are looking for a Director of Business Development to join our growing team! In this role, you'll lead our business development and marketing efforts while working closely with the executive team and technical leaders. You'll report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Specific job duties will include:

You'll lead and oversee business development, including identifying market trends and developing/executing a strategic growth strategy in partnership with the S2S executive team and other senior technical leaders. You'll lead and oversee marketing efforts, including the development and execution of a marketing strategy. This includes overseeing company social media pages, some client communications, and developing strategic marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and company graphics. You'll identify potential proposal opportunities and lead the process of determining bid/no-bid with S2S technical leads. You'll lead and coordinate all aspects of proposal preparation, from go/no-go decisions through interviews. You'll write non-technical content for pursuits and marketing materials. This is a full-time salaried position. There is flexibility in work location, although the ideal candidate will report to our San Ramon headquarters. This position has a tremendous opportunity for growth. Qualifications BS or BA degree, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or other relevant field. 5+ years of relevant work experience supporting bid and proposal development. Experience in the environmental or construction field, a plus. High fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to lead, create and complete responses to Request for Proposals (RFP), as well as Requests for Information (RFI) from start to finish. Strong organizational and time management skills required to juggle multiple proposals/tasks with differing deadlines, with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Experience with Graphics, Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign) a plus. Experience with various Client portals such as PowerAdvocate and Ariba, a plus. Experience with Salesforce or another equivalent CRM database, a plus. Experience with IMS, GovWin, PlanetBids or other similar bid platforms, a plus. Actual pay will be based upon a range of factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, level of responsibility, skills, abilities and overall alignment with market data for similar functions.
