What You'll Do: Own & oversee the accounting function. Including all accounting processes including month-end close, reporting, compliance, tax, AR/AP, consolidations, collections, audit, inter-company activities, payroll reporting, expense review, etc.Monitor the company's accounting information, internal controls, systems, procedures and policies to identify inaccuracies while improving team effectivenessDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies/systems to maintain and strengthen internal controlsAssist VP of Finance with implementing and tracking budgets, KPIs, hiring plans, commissions, and various other policiesLead review of tax calculations, audits and returns, international expansion and related compliance/ procedures along with managing local, state, and federal government reporting requirementsAssist with monthly variance analysis on actuals versus forecastTrack meaningful financial metrics to monitor performance against team and company level OKRs and financial goalsSupport various departments with ad-hoc requestsAssist VP of Finance with regular reporting The Ideal Candidate for this Role has: 7-10+ years experience in accounting and accounting leadership rolesBA/BS in Accounting or Finance, and is a CPAHave worked in a technical startup (ideally SaaS)Experience with international accounting, specifically managing & consolidating foreign subsidiariesRich knowledge of accounting/GAAP principles (Including ASC606)Deep tax accounting experience, both international and local sales taxAbility to be flexible, thrives in/ can adapt in a high-growth environment.Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of teams at different levels, but is able to work independently and ensure commitments are adhered to with high quality outputExperience and excitement about managing people & developing talentStrong attention to detailExcellent communication skillsExperience with the tools we use: Quickbooks, Brex, Ramp, & Salesforce
