HIGHLIGHTS: The Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergent and non-emergent requests for medical assistance and delivers high quality patient care, treatment, and customer service in an expedient, professional, and cost-effective manner within established protocols and Company policies. Various shift types available, with opportunities for overtime and work at special events throughout Los Angeles County.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess each call situation to determine best course of action and appropriate protocol. Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care. Develop and utilize triage skills to provide optimal efficiency during calls. Communicate with receiving facility to receive medical direction and provide critical information. Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed. Document activities with regard to patient care and billing completely. Communicate verbally with patients and significant others in various environments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Valid driver's license and Ambulance Driver's License. State Paramedic License and CPR Card.
