The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing personal relationships with donors, as well as leading and aligning all fundraising activities within the development department. This role requires a strategic approach to fundraising, pairing best practices with creative solutions, and supporting the Chief Development Officer in establishing the department's strategic direction. The Executive Director will also be involved in appropriate development activities with executive leadership, board members, and volunteers.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in frontline fundraising, with at least 5 years in a team management role. A proven track record of identifying and closing major gifts, exceptional cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation skills, and experience with grateful patient philanthropy are essential. The ideal candidate will have superior relationship-building skills, solid communication abilities, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include a background in healthcare fundraising and knowledge of substance use disorder.
