Description, Responsibilities, & DutiesWe are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Director to lead our organization into its next phase of growth and impact. The Executive Director of Growing Place will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, driving organizational sustainability, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
Growing Place is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of children and teachers. The Executive Director oversees three campuses in Santa Monica, CA enrolling 300 children.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision to guide the organization's growth and evolution in alignment with its mission and values.Resource Development: Oversee fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and strategic partnerships, to ensure financial stability and sustainability.Program Management: Provide oversight and direction to program staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services that meet the needs of children and families.Organizational Management: Lead and mentor a team of dedicated staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Community Engagement: Serve as Growing Place's primary spokesperson, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including families, donors, funders, and community partners.Advocacy and Public Policy: Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the well-being of children and families, both locally and nationally.Minimum Qualifications/RequirementsQualifications: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholdersKnowledge of nonprofit governance, financial management, and fundraisingAbility to drive alignment with different stakeholdersAbility to foster relationships with the City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica College while advocating on behalf of Growing PlacePreferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Educational Leadership, or a related fieldQualify for the Child Development Permit for the State of CAMeet CA Department of Social Services Child Care Licensing requirementsSignificant leadership experience in an educational setting with multiple campusesUnderstanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and its application in ECESalary & BenefitsThere is some flexibility with the start date as there is an interim currently in place.
Benefits and Compensation: The full-time salary range for this position is $170,000-200,000 commensurate with education, years of experience and demonstrated leadership accomplishmentsPaid National/State Holidays: 10 DaysHours of Paid Sick Leave (PSL): 72 Hours (9 Days) at the start of the school year (August 1); Mid-year hires accrue PSL at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Covered at 100%403(b) retirement plan with a 50% match up to 3%Life Insurance with a fully paid premium and a $25,000 benefit Eligible for Public Loan Forgiveness ProgramOpportunities to attend conferences, workshops, and study toursApplication ProceduresInterested candidates can apply online at: https://rg175.com/candidate/signup.
