Position Summary:
The Facility Technician & Shuttle Van/Mobile RV Driver is responsible for the upkeep of building facilities, grounds, and the modification to the structure or layout of the facility. This individual will also pick up patients and take them to their appointments as needed. Additionally, this position requires the organization and coordination of facility projects and work requests from TCC Support.
Essential Job Functions: Act as the primary contact for all clinic sites for any facilities issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs).Monitor contractor performance and work closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.Assist in projects including large-scale repair and new facility construction projects.Assist Facilities Manager with maintaining building security and responding immediately to building emergencies.Assess facility orders made by vendors.Assist and coordinate logistically with departmental and employee moves.Perform basic low voltage electrical work and determine when an electrician is required.Hang pictures, assemble, and install shelves as needed.Dismantle and install furniture as needed.Assist in transporting goods or equipment as needed.Perform routine upkeep duties necessary to maintain a clean facility.Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or CIO.Provide a high level of customer service for all support queries in line with TCC's Service Management Principles.Attend and participate in meetings, committees, and training sessions as directed by supervisor.Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when handling user requests.Log all user requests onto the Facilities Support System.Obtain equipment, tools, and space needed to allow team members to adequately support customers.Maintain cooperative & professional communication among interdepartmental and vendor relationships.Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times. Education & Qualifications: Two or more years' experience in Facility or Construction is required.Must have a High School Diploma or GED.Certification in areas, i.e. electrical/low voltage wiring badge access control, plumbing, painting, cabinetry, and general maintenance skills. Must have the ability to interpret and follow verbal and written instructions.Must read, write, and speak English fluently.Must have good oral and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all employees, contractors, and vendors.Must have a valid CA driver's license, proof of minimum (15/30/5) automobile liability insurance, and an available vehicle in good working condition.Must be able to travel to various work-site locations on demand.Able to use standard powered and non-powered tools.Previous experience with plumbing, painting, and cabinetry. Knowledge & proficiency in Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, etc.) and any current applicable computer software, along with good understanding of accessing the internet. Pay: $21.50 - $25.00 per hour
