Job Overview - Finance Associate (Hybrid): Join our client in Boston, MA, as a Finance Associate, overseeing accounting and reporting for Senior Debt funds. You'll collaborate with key teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and manage fund performance and daily operations.
Compensation: $100,000 - $115,000/year + bonus
Location: Boston, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Finance Associate: Fund Accounting: Oversee all accounting, reporting, and compliance of Senior Debt funds. Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members to ensure consistent performance. Fund Performance: Calculate fund returns, prepare MD&A, and communicate performance to senior management and Investor Relations. Capital Distributions: Prepare and review capital calls and distributions for Private Debt funds. Cash Management: Manage daily cash reconciliation and maintain general ledger and portfolio accounting systems. Compliance: Work closely with external auditors for year-end financials and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Qualifications for the Finance Associate: Education: Master's degree in Accounting required. Experience: 3+ years of Financial Reporting experience required (Big 4, SEC work, and private equity/debt valuation preferred). Certification: CPA preferred. Skills: Strong GAAP reporting, expert in Microsoft Office, with Investran, WSO, or Advent Geneva preferred. Abilities: Leadership, strong organization and communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
