Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Truck Team Member to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate should possess strong cleaning and organization skills, be bilingual, and have a passion for cooking and delivering exceptional food experiences. As a member of our food truck team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile eatery.
Responsibilities:
Cooking and Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure that all food is cooked and presented in a timely and appealing manner.
Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation.
Customer Service:
Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and provide exceptional service.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests are noted.
Handle customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Cleaning and Sanitation:
Maintain a clean and organized food preparation area, cooking equipment, and utensils.
Regularly clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, and equipment to meet health and safety standards.
Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness inside and around the food truck.
Organization:
Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
Maintain a well-organized workspace, ensuring efficient workflow during busy periods.
Assist in restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
Bilingual Communication:
Communicate effectively with customers and team members in both English and spanish.
Assist in translating menu items and interacting with diverse customer groups.
Cash Handling:
Accurately handle cash transactions and process payments using POS systems.
Provide customers with correct change and issue receipts as required.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Assist in training new team members on food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service.
Qualifications:
Strong cleaning and sanitation skills with a keen eye for detail.
Bilingual proficiency in English and spanish is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
