GNA Duties: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents, alone or with assistanceObserve residents' conditions, measuring/recording food/liquid intake and output as well as vital signs, then report changes to professional staff as applicableCollect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputumMust be able to explain medical instructions to residents and family membersWork as part of a medical team that examines and provides service to residentsAdminister medications and treatments, such as catheterizations, suppositories, irrigations, enemas, massages, and douches, as directed by a physician or nurseAnswer residents' call lightsProvide residents with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bedMust be able to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toiletryTransport residents to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcherMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residentsRestrain residents if necessaryPrepare, serve, and collect food traysClean rooms and change linens as instructedDeliver messages, documents and specimensAnswer phones and direct visitors as neededMaintain inventory by storing, preparing, sterilizing, and issuing supplies such as dressing packs and treatment traysPerform clerical duties such as processing documents and detailing residents' condition
Requirements:
GNA certificationMinimum of 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing Facility, or Hospital is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply!Pass a criminal background check and drug screenCPR and First-Aid certified
