About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Systems Engineering with a focus on Flight Controls for UAVs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the R&D efforts in this area, managing an integrated cross-functional team of engineers, and acting as the chief engineer in the approval of technical developments. This role is pivotal in the development of flight control systems, and the Head of Systems Engineering will also be the primary representative of the business with external stakeholders, including at trade shows and conventions.

Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a preference for those with a background in robotics and flight controls. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years' in a lead engineer or management capacity is required, along with experience working with the FAA, particularly in the context of BVLOS. A Part 107 License is desirable. The role demands a candidate who is adept at leading new technical developments, particularly in the context of UAV flight controls, and who can effectively manage a team of diverse engineering disciplines. The Head of Systems Engineering will play a critical role in the company's mission, and as such, a strong technical background and leadership skills are essential.
