SUMMARY STATEMENT:
HVAC Mechanic I is responsible for the day-to-day preventative, diagnostic and corrective mechanical maintenance procedures for the building mechanical systems, primarily HVAC systems, under the direction of licensed tradespersons as appropriate. Scheduling the computer building management system - which includes temperature control, lighting control, building environmental adjustments and air handler functionality - responding to visitor and staff requests, building management system alarms, and completing daily rounds of the critical building infrastructure. Assist with other facility repair and maintenance work as required in order to keep equipment in proper operation
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventative, diagnostic and corrective mechanical maintenance procedures, service and repairs on the building mechanical systems by completing requests in a timely manner to ensure safe, efficient operation of building systems and equipment, and maximize equipment uptimeAssists licensed trades and other coworkers in facility repair and maintenance which may include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, painting, snow removal, grounds maintenance, and miscellaneous repair work in order to keep equipment in proper operation.As required in the absence of other facilities staff, prioritize trouble calls, requests and building system needs or contact outside contractors to provide timely emergency action and repair necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of our staff and visitors, and continued building operationAssists in maintaining any required repair and maintenance record logs, or files in order to provide interdepartmental communications, work and equipment historiesAssists in maintaining clean, orderly, and properly stocked maintenance shop and Facilitie's spaces so that facilities operations can proceed in a safe, expedient and orderly mannerResponsible for responding to emergency incidents on the property that may be a threat to the safety of staff, guests, and property. Emergency incidents include but are not limited to fire alarms, natural disasters, power or equipment failure, building evacuations and other crisis' as defined in the Museum's Emergency Preparedness and Management Plan (EPAMP). WORK SCHEDULE:
This position is full-time, Monday-Friday. Must be able to respond outside of scheduled working hours as requested to ensure continuous operation of facility systems. May be required to work weekends, holidays and overtime as requested by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 3 or more years' experience in the maintenance of building mechanical systems, or relatable mechanical trades work. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Organizational skills Communication Skills Able to obtain OSHA 10 certification STARTING SALARY:
Non-Exempt (Hourly). $25.00-31.00 per hour
