Labor Legal Counsel

JSR Services is seeking an experienced Labor Legal Counsel, specializing in labor relations and unionized employee matters. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice on employment law, labor agreements, and union negotiations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws and hands-on experience with unionized workplaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel and support on labor and employment matters involving unionized employees.
Advise management on compliance with collective bargaining agreements, labor laws, and union relations.
Represent the company in labor negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and disputes with unions.
Collaborate with HR and management on the development of labor strategies and policies.
Ensure compliance with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and other relevant labor legislation.
Conduct legal research and interpret labor laws and regulations affecting unionized employees.
Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes within the unionized workforce.
Assist in internal investigations regarding employment law violations or union-related conflicts.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor law, with a strong focus on unionized employees.
Proven track record of handling collective bargaining negotiations and union disputes.
In-depth understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with HR and other departments.
