Laboratory Supervisor

Basic Functions:
Coordinate daily activities, projects and protocols of Microbiology laboratory, Critical Systems, Environmental areas and Calibration/Metrology laboratories. Review of documentation and exception records. Organize Microbiology and Calibration/Metrology laboratories activities to ensure the effectively use of the materials, equipment and manpower to comply with the area objectives and requirements. Perform specification and SOP’s audits.
Has the authority to stop non-conformance process and products.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate Microbiology, Calibrations/Metrology and Environmental area projects and protocols.
2. Review laboratories documentation.
3. Coordinate and/or performs specifications and SOP’s audits.
4. Responsible for quality, safety, discipline, GMP, GLP and housekeeping in the laboratories.
5. Supervise laboratory activities; establish responsibilities and duties based on the laboratory and plant priorities.
6. Coordinate or established guidelines requirements to plant “Critical System Requests”.
7. Coordinate laboratories personnel trainings.
8. Support the Internal Audit Program participating as an internal auditor when requested.
9. Prepare laboratory monthly and quarterly reports.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. B.S. in Science (Microbiology, Medical Technology or related).
2. Knowledge in computer operations.
3. Knowledge in mathematics (decimals, percentage, statistics).
4. Fluency in writing, reading and speaking English and Spanish.
5.Knowledge in technical investigation skills
EXPERIENCE:
1. Five years (5) experience in Microbiology Laboratory.
