ABOUT THE ROLE
Krafton is looking for an in-house Legal Counsel with 3-10 years of relevant experience. Principal duties will be supporting commercial, and other areas of the legal team as needed, including regulatory, corporate governance, and legal ops.
RESPONSIBILITIES Review, negotiate, draft, and advise on a broad range of commercial agreements, including services, statements of work, marketing, publishing, distribution, licensing, merchandising, technology, software licenses, employment, and data privacy-related agreements, etc. Advise on compliance requirements in the U.S. and globally related to consumer protection laws, marketing, gambling/games of skill, contests, sweepstakes, accessibility laws, privacy, and issues unique to the interactive entertainment industry. Enhance and maintain the company's corporate compliance and subsidiary formation and management program, principally in North America and Europe. Build strong relationships and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders globally. REQUIREMENTS 3-10 years of relevant legal experience in top-tier law firms and/or in house legal departments. 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions. Ability to handle individual commercial transaction matters without direct supervision. Flexibility to work with different time zones, different work cultures and languages (through translators). Team player capable of working both independently and with others. Roll up your sleeves attitude handling all aspects of matters with or without support from others. Sense of humor. Licensed to practice law in the United States Proficiency in both English and Korean, including excellent verbal and written communication skills would be highly preferred. Knowledge of tax and accounting issues is a plus. Knowledge of regulatory issues related to gaming and evolving technology, such as privacy, AI, blockchain, e-commerce, and online advertising would be a plus. In California, the expected salary range for this position is $150,000-$220,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors that can include experience, education, skills, and location.
