Job Description Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for the construction and general labor which may include Carpentry, HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Plumbing, and other construction needs as assigned. You will report to the Maintenance Manager 1.
Payrate: $20.00 per hour | Hourly, Full Time | Schedule and Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday with Saturday and Sunday OFF | WEEKLY EARNED WAGE ACCESS IS AN OPTION FOR THIS POSITION | This position will be housed in Atoka.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will complete work orders in the repair, and improvement of facilities.
2. Perform general carpentry work; frame walls, hang drywall, hang suspended ceilings, build shelves, lay carpet, paint.
3. Perform locksmith tasks; repair locks, door handles, and door closures, and install new door equipment.
4. Respond to all building safety concerns related to construction.
5. You will guarantee tools and equipment are maintained and repaired.
6. Maintain the cleanliness of facilities inside and outside during the construction process; sweep, pick up trash, and wash daily.
7. Follow safety protocol and notify supervisor immediately of any problem, crisis, and emergency to guarantee a safe work environment.
8. Display a general knowledge of blueprints and specifications.
9. Ensure construction documentation, schematics and other important records are correct and maintained.
10. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
Requirements:
•Working knowledge of all aspects of construction repair and service; the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.
•Knowledge of the standard principles, methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment used in the construction and repair of building structures, machinery, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment fixtures.
•Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment to assist technicians in performing repairs on new and used equipment.
•Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
•Must be able to lift drywall, framing material, five (5) gallon paint pails, and concrete mix sacks.
•Two (2) years of hands-on general construction experience maintaining building facilities and grounds repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, HVAC, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
