The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong ability to analyze complex information, anticipate future trends, and align actions with long-term goals. A key focus of the role is to create and disseminate high-quality written materials that effectively communicate the organization's mission, programs, and impact to various donor audiences. This includes setting the vision and strategy for grant language, ensuring all content is accurate and aligned with messaging guidelines, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain consistency. The role also involves team management, coaching, and collaboration to develop and retain a strong team of content and design professionals.
Applicants must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in grant writing, content development, or a related field, with a proven track record of creating successful written materials. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adjust writing style for different audiences are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in fundraising, particularly in the K-12 education sector, and a background in strategic thinking, relationship building, and communication. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. Knowledge of the education sector and experience with nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
