Manufacturing Engineer

Our client is a well-regarded, $3.5B manufacturer in the commercial construction product space. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Highland, MI. Responsibilities: Move the organization towards a common systems and processes philosophy.Create and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEA's, control plans and Work Instructions.Implement corrective actions and proactive quality and efficiency improvement processes.Lead the development, selection and implementation of processing best practices based on rigorous data analysis.Support the execution of new product launches, equipment installations, and other major initiatives.Coordinate and collaborate with other departments and peers within the organization.Monitor production, rejection, scrap, cleanliness, safety, and proper working conditions.Ensure produced parts meet standards set by the Quality Department.Time studies and line balancing.Tool/Machine and process set-up, verification, and troubleshooting. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related field)5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)Ability to operate various tools, equipment & machineryExpert understanding of process control and manufacturing systems and processesPrior experience overseeing and leading major capital improvement projects in a plantAbility to stand, sit, bend and kneel
