Work ScheduleStandard (Mon-Fri)Environmental ConditionsOfficeJob DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Scheduling CoordinatorReports To: Supervisor/ Manager, ManufacturingGroup/Division: SDG/TDXJob Track: AssociatePosition Location: West HillsNumber of Direct Reports: N/ADay/Shift (if applicable): DayFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition SummaryThe Manufacturing Scheduling Coordinator performs detailed scheduling of manufacturing work orders and assures materials and components are available and/or prepared to implement the schedule. The Manufacturing Scheduling Coordinator works in partnership with Supply Chain Planners as well as other Manufacturing groups to enhance utilization of manufacturing hours and meet demand schedules within the capacity plan. Additional expectations include improving the following metrics: Timely and complete delivery of products (OTIF), backorder management, schedule attainment, and resource utilization, through the implementation of continuous process improvement. May perform hands-on manufacturing tasks as needed to maintain schedule.Key Responsibilities:The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:Develop detailed schedules to implement manufacturing work orders for punctual delivery of productMonitor key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, resource utilization, and capacity plan fulfillment; prepare critical metric reportsRelease Work Orders in ERP system and follow-up on open Work Orders to ensure completionPerform manufacturing tasks that support Work Order execution such as label printing and direct manufacturing task, e.g., the set-up and operation of equipment of moderate complexityAssist with timely and accurate capacity planning designed to improve throughputAssist with the coordination of new product introductions as assignedProvide input to management to reschedule in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptionsImplement ERP system material master changes, product structures, BOMs and router informationAttend management meetings and provide status updates on scheduling and manufacturing issuesEnsure the most efficient resource utilization via continuous communication and partnering with collaborators including Supply Chain, R&D, Quality and othersEstablish and optimize standard work/ SOPs related to area of responsibilityManage physical inventories as requiredPerform other duties as assigned within the context of demonstrated skillsMinimum Requirements:A combination of education and experience that confer the required ERP/scheduling and manufacturing skills. Manufacturing Scheduling Coordinators typically have these credentials:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, biological sciences or combination of education and experience, i.e., (preferred)high school diploma along with and relevant experience required0+ yrs Solid understanding of ERP/MES system such as SAPExperience at manufacturing floor-level schedulingExperience working on several projects or issues simultaneously in a matrixed environmentProficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a GMP or regulated environmentContinuous improvement training/ experience in Lean Systems, DMAIC, Six Sigma or similarWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:Normal office and manufacturing environment with lab coat and PPE gowning requirementPosition will require sitting, standing/ walking for prolonged periods of timeEmployee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 poundsCompensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $23.04-$34.56.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
