Gradient, a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a motivated and resourceful Mid-Level Epidemiologist who will conduct epidemiology, toxicology, and statistical analyses for science-based evaluations with a focus on environmental and human health risk assessment. Candidate enjoys technically-challenging work for projects that involve regulatory comment, litigation support, product safety assessments, and human health risk assessment. You will have the opportunity to join our growing practice in one of our office locations: downtown Boston, MA or Charlottesville, VA.

Experience and Skills Project work may include occupational health, litigation support, regulatory comment, product safety assessments, and site-specific human health risk assessment. Assess exposure and human health risks from chemicals in the environment and consumer products. Perform analyses in support of projects, such as preparing tables, systematic reviews, and hazard assessments. Conduct literature searches and critically review and evaluate scientific studies regarding epidemiology and exposure sciences. Assist in the preparation of deliverables (reports, memoranda, proposals, agency comments). Opportunities to manage small- to medium-sized projects. Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in epidemiology or related field. (required) Advanced degree in epidemiology or related field. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required) Exceptional written and oral communication. (required) Strong statistical skills and the ability to critically evaluate epidemiology data.? (required) Knowledge of environmental regulations, air modeling, and other exposure assessment techniques. (valuable)
