Objective:
The Grants and Compliance Official reports to the Development Director. They play a vital role in providing support for both grant-related activities and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards, contributing to the organization's successful grant acquisitions and overall compliance efforts.
Must have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related area, with at least 1 year of experience as a Compliance and Proposals officer or in any other related areas.
Responsabilities:
Will have to carry out internal monitoring.
Grant Assistance:
Conduct research to identify potential grant/ donors opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and objectives.
Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and presentations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with grant guidelines.
Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop budgets and track expenditures aligned with grant requirements.
Support in the timely submission of grant reports, ensuring compliance with reporting guidelines and accurate documentation.
Keep a Grant calendar.
Maintain donors files and general records
Keep donor stewardship strategies ( ie: Thank you cards, emails)
Monitor resource allocations to prevent any instances of double dipping or duplicate use
Compliance Support:
Aid in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and compliance reports.
Assist in monitoring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, conducting regular checks and assessments.
Contribute to compliance audits, assessments, and assist in identifying areas for improvement in compliance processes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Assist in the preparation, compilation, and analysis of compliance reports for internal use and regulatory submissions.
Maintain organized records of grant-related documents, compliance reports, and any necessary documentation for audits.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct research on regulatory requirements, grant guidelines, and compliance best practices, providing insights and recommendations.
Training and Collaboration:
Assist in organizing training sessions or workshops related to compliance matters and grant application procedures.
Collaborate with different departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance across the organization.
