Job Title: Oracle Utilities Sr. Principal Consultant, Technical Architect. Location: Home based, United States of America. Utilization Target: 100% Travel Component: Up to 100% travel Job Summary: Reporting to the Technical Architecture Delivery Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework implementations, including products such as MDM, CC&B, C2M, MWM and ORS, ensuring the solutions proposed function technically. The Technical Architect develops the technical architecture for the system and is responsible for implementing the overall technical design of the application. Essential Job Functions: Be an onsite technical lead and co-ordinate with offshore team to accomplish activities Install, configure and operate product stack. Technical Liaison with Client, Project Management and Oracle Utilities Product Group Develop detailed specifications including; logical and physical diagrams or blueprints, application configuration and requirements. Train other oracle resources and guide them as per project needs. Identify potential risk and problem areas and develop procedures that provide effective workarounds to the problem at hand. Produce Technical Architecture Documents to include Conceptual Technical Models, Platform, Performance, Security, Operational Requirements, Integration and Interface, and Batch Infrastructure Requirements, Training, and Disaster Recovery Plans, Performance Testing Approach, Technical Infrastructure Processes Technical Infrastructure Quality Assurance Reviews to include Hardware Sizing, Conceptual Solution and External Design, Interface Design, and Upgradeability. Investigate production issues related to performance, code, infrastructure Gives estimation of work and collaborates with project managers to estimate and plan technical work Technical Infrastructure Implementation and Operational Transition Plan. Works with peers and a matrix of other team members in the business unit to improve products and services delivery and to expand the capabilities of services provided to Oracle customers. Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a skilled technical consultant with experience on multiple Oracle Utilities projects, along with demonstrable leadership experience. The ideal candidate will: Have experience in large-scale IT implementations within the utility industry, gained within a utility and/or major consulting organization as a MDM, MWM or CCB technical architect Strong Unix skills and experience with UNIX operating systems like RH Linux, Oracle Linux etc. Hands on knowledge working with Oracle WebLogic server. Strong Application server experience in installation, configuration, performance tuning and managing them. Possess excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills. Have a good technical understanding of the Oracle Utilities Application Framework. Strong awareness of the broad Oracle Utilities Applications suite of products Be able to demonstrate operational administration skills in Oracle technology products such as Oracle Database (11g, 12c , RAC, ASM), WebLogic 11g, 12c, OAS, Fusion Middleware, SOA and Oracle Enterprise Manager Have high levels of organization, determination and focus Possess Good verbal/written skills in English Experience working with big 4 consulting firms is a plus Ability to travel for 100% of assignments to any destination is a key requirement of the role Know Java and J2EE, Experience with Oracle WebLogic Clustering Know how to optimize SQL performance Possess excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills Strong awareness of the broad Oracle Utilities Applications suite of products Fluent communication (written and spoken) in English While initial project will be in USA, the candidate must have the ability to travel for assignments to any destination overseas in the future.
