**Description**
1st Shift Hours: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pm
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Perform shipping and receiving duties.
Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customers purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions.
Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
Required to forward a requisition for shipping materials to the Department Supervisor for approval.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:**
Some forklift experience preferred.
**WORKING ENVIRONMENT:**
Manufacturing environment which requires precaution, training and safety equipment (including safety glasses, ear plugs, closed toe shoes, gloves, etc.).
Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts while performing job.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks while staying focused in a fast paced environment.
Must be able to stand for eight (8) hours or more per day, while bending and twisting.
Must be able to lift, push or pull up to fifty (50) lbs.
Must be able to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
