Job Purpose
The Paralegal will assist and support the Legal Director and the team in all client analysis regarding U.S. tax consulting projects to determine potential tax savings. The Paralegal is a motivated self-starter who will play a key role in developing and presenting tax projects and providing implementation support to enable the team to provide outstanding customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Paralegal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct research and analysis of a wide range of legal issues including but not limited to business transactions, corporate law, tax law, contract law, intellectual property law and commercial code.
Provide initial analysis of tax returns and P&L and propose pricing on all potential clients.
Assist in the identification, preparation and implementation of reports and tax strategies for clients to be presented by the team.
Create PowerPoint presentations tailored to the client's tax strategies and situation for the team presentation.
Create contracts and amendments from existing templates.
Help maintain corporate records and documents.
Create and/or document policies, procedures, and programs.
Proactively make recommendations to the Legal Director to enhance team performance and productivity.
Update our reports with changes in both U.S. and P.R law.
Obtain and process all client information and transactions.
Become acutely familiar with all sales processes and products and cross-functional operations.
Monitoring and documenting client progress.
Assist with tax compliance needs of select clients.
Be able to clearly communicate the work plan, services, and project objectives.
Support the legal team.
Track and manage deadlines and steps in any service.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as working independently.
Opportunity to network with existing and prospective clients.
Other projects as assigned by Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
Paralegal studies with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service or a Juris Doctorate graduate.
Be highly driven to succeed, creative, hard-working, and adaptable to a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Willing and motivated to be trained in various areas of law and tax strategies.
Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate complex information.
Good problem-solving, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines.
Ability to take responsibility, to work well as a team member as well as work independently.
Ability to understand and follow directions and complex strategies and procedures.
Extensive knowledge of computer software (such as Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet).
High level of interpersonal skills with an ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials; establishing priorities; and meeting deadlines.
Developed communication skills to positively engage customers and retain their loyalty
Possesses a high level of confidentiality.
Committed to working within a team environment and providing excellent customer service
Ability to multi-task and work on complex projects, simultaneously and see them to completion with limited supervision.
Excellent spelling, grammar, verbal and written communication skills in English.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,400.00 - $42,400.00 per year
