Client Details Our client is a family-owned General Contractor based in MD that has been in business for over 20 years. They started as a residential contractor before evolving into one of the area's most well-known federal government contractors. They are known for completing projects ranging between $500K and $20M for entities such as the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, MD Air National Guard, and more. They are actively looking to grow their team by bringing on an experienced Project Manager.
Description The Project Manager - Federal Government Projects - MD will be responsible for:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure designs meet client requirements and regulatory standards. Create and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and dependencies. Contract Management: Manage contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes for the company. Monitor contract performance and enforce compliance with project specifications. Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare project budgets and cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals. Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures where necessary. Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents. Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation to achieve project objectives. Conduct regular meetings to communicate project updates, address issues, and resolve conflicts. Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to streamline project workflows and maximize efficiency. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of construction and craftsmanship. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements. Conduct inspections and quality checks at various stages of the construction process. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions. Monitor safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace health and safety. Address any unforeseen challenges or obstacles that arise during the project lifecycle. Client Communication and Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations. Provide regular project updates and reports to clients, ensuring transparency and accountability. Cultivate positive relationships with clients to foster repeat business and referrals Profile The Project Manager - Federal Government Projects - MD will have:
at least 5 years of experience in construction and proven experience as a Project Manager federal government project experience highly preferred excellent communication skills, both verbal and written strong organizational skills a bachelor's degree in construction or a related field is preferred strong computer skills and experience with project management software Job Offer The Project Manager - Federal Government Projects - MD will receive:
