Regular Research Operations Administrator II (ROA)

The National Security Research Division (NSRD) is seeking a Research Operations Administrator II (ROA) who will be responsible for executing a wide variety of activities to oversee, track, and record the progress of assets through the QA, publications and security review processes.Under limited direction and supervision of NSRD management, the ROA will perform various tasks related to QA, publications, and security review including, but not limited to:
Manage the publication process and obtain approvals from various stakeholders, including authors, reviewers, NSRD management, Quality Assurance Manager (QAM), DoD sponsors, and Defense Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR).
Engage sponsors and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) on timelines for documents within Security Review and to resolve issues regarding the review
Be the lead point of contact with various departments, including Communications and External Affairs (CEA) and Security, for final publication.
Create, revise and review requisitions and payments for external peer reviewers.
Communicate with stakeholders to ensure they are aware of and meet the upcoming deadlines.
Maintain and regularly update QA and Security Review tracking databases including schedules, status updates, and records.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of a tracking system for the QA/Pubs process in Workfront or similar software, in coordination with the division Operations team.
Work with other RFAs to ensure publication is within approved budget
Perform other tasks as directed, such as provide status updates, create and update templates and procedures, occasionally record meetings and post to the intranet, format documents, proofread, etc.
Work closely with the NSRD QAM, CA, Division production editor, Office of the Chief of Public Affairs (OCPA, and other supporting elements in the QA and publications process.
Oversee the development and production of a yearly NDRI Contract Deliverables (the Annual Report)
Qualifications: Ability to communicate clearly with tact and diplomacy with internal and external parties at all levels, including internal management and DoD personnel.
Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and process management skills; strong attention to detail; proactive and able to prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
Consistently meets deadlines and ability to multi-task.
Proficiency in advanced Excel (including working with formulas), Outlook, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and the ability to learn and manage Workfront.
Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; 6 years preferred
Education Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
Clearance Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance, is required.
Location Santa Monica, CA, Washington DC, or Pittsburgh, PA. This position requires close proximity to one of the 3 offices to access and process classified documents. This is a hybrid position. Salary Range: $73,700-$109,400
