About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN - Trauma Quality Coordinator to join our team at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. As a key member of our trauma team, you will play a critical role in leading improvement processes and activities for the trauma population.
Key Responsibilities Lead quality improvement initiatives for the trauma population, including reviewing patient charts, analyzing quality indicators, and reporting to the Trauma Committee. Assist in monitoring and coordinating all aspects of the Trauma Service Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program. Develop and implement injury prevention activities based on local epidemiological data and the Providence Holy Cross trauma population. Coordinate and deliver trauma education for clinicians involved in the care of trauma patients, including EMS, Emergency, and Acute Care. Assist in coordinating trauma care for patients throughout their hospitalization. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. California Registered Nurse License upon hire. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months of hire. Three years of experience in trauma, emergency, or critical care within a healthcare organization. Preferred Qualifications Coursework or training in ICD-10, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) scoring, and American Trauma Society Basic Trauma Registrar course. Recent experience in Emergency, Critical Care, or Trauma nursing. Experience with collector software and the State Trauma Registry. Experience with chart audits.
