As an RX Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our system. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner. The Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for directing questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification, and enter incomplete prescription information once clarification has been obtained. To help support development and maximize workflow, you may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required. This is an exciting chance for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge. As part of the Pharmacy Technician I - RX Entry Team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experiences to work in a closed door practice setting.
Required Qualifications
Puerto Rico Pharmacy Technician License (or proof of application prior to starting).
Bilingual (English and Spanish).
Detail oriented.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification required within 1 year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with insurance/health care background.
National Pharmacy Technician certification.
Prescription entry skills and data entry experience.
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
