The Sales and Education Executive (SEE) is a retail, education, and client-centric role, responsible for achieving sales targets in an assigned market, cultivating relationships, building brand awareness, and achieving product launch objectives. The primary objective of the SEE role is to drive revenue, product awareness, and increase sales while developing and strengthening our position as a leader in the retail, beauty, and health and wellness arena. Other functions include assessing business to identify opportunities, planning to achieve growth, and creating by-door strategies for success that include education, events, and sales support to drive sell-through. The SEE is responsible for creating an action plan monthly, quarterly, and annually, to achieve these targets. The SEE plays an integral role in executing the successful launch of new products including account education, promotional activity, and events. Additionally, the SEE will effectively utilize tools and resources in the way the company has mandated.
RESPONSIBILITIES: SALES: Drives sales to meet metrics as outlined by leadershipDevelop territory strategy to maximize sell-through of inventoryPlans and executes events to sales goalsReviews daily, weekly, and monthly salesPrepares business reviews with leadership teamCreate product demonstration plans for product launchesAbility to impact and work with remote stores from afar to drive sales volumeCreate and execute plans to improve brand ranking by store in an assigned territoryTRAINING: Educate and train store staff on Murad brand knowledge and product demonstrationPlan and execute quarterly meetings with Store Management, District Managers, Department Managers, and District TrainersStrong presentation skills both one-on-one and with larger groupsAbility to adapt training to individual skill setsCOMMUNICATION, RELATIONSHIPS, AND TIME MANAGEMENT: Self-motivated to lead and represent Murad in the best light possible with retail partnersCommunicate season presentation to Store Management and Store Selling StaffCommunicates sales and ranking with store leadership during visits, calls, and meetingsCollect and report any out-of-stock situation to National Account ManagersResponsible for thoughtful spending and accurate weekly submission of the T &E budgetSupport execution and following up regarding merchandise linear, case line, and secondary location according to Merchandising guidelines and Retail Plan o GramParticipates and is prepared for weekly conference calls, touch bases, and monthly formal touch basesManages freelance team and budget ethicallyUTILIZES TOOLS AND RESOURCES: Responsible for the daily recap and assigned missions with "Go Spot Check"Uses tools, gratis, samples, and education materials as instructed by leadershipMakes the best use of tools such as IPADs, Skin tools to support and drive the businessOTHER REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years in the beauty industry, or health and wellness spaceBachelor's Degree is preferred but not requiredExperience with large retail accountsStrong track record of achieving and exceeding retail salesResilient in natureAbility to pivot in order to succeedPowerful business acumenComprehension of daily administrative requirements such as outlook, excel, basic computer skills, etc.Familiarity with retailers: Sephora, Ulta, and Nordstrom preferredSocial media savvyThe associate must live in the assigned main market or territory as directed by leadershipMust have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and cannot have any travel restrictions.Must have a car and reliable transportation to and from workOvernight travel required, the percentage of time will vary by marketATTRIBUTES: Excellent sales skillsAbility to organize and prioritizeAbility to work autonomouslyFlexibility in schedule to meet business needsTeam player and works well with othersAbility to develop and maintain relationshipsAbility to exercise discretion and confidentialityAbility to motivate othersPHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB: Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a dayFlexible with work schedule 5 to 6 days per week100% of time performing an activity – presentation, assisted selling50% of the time performing activities such as lifting, bending, standing, carrying boxesWHAT WE OFFER: Unlimited Paid Time OffFSA/HSAEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional Development Resources401(k) Employer Match ProgramThe expected base salary for this position is $70,000 to $75,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results. This position is commission-eligible.
