Description
Scott Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a qualified Sheet Metal Helper who is willing to lend a helping hand and who is looking for growth within our company.
Responsibilities
•Loading, unloading, and moving material as needed.
•Cleaning up work area of hazardous materials.
•Operating tools (benders, pliers, snips, and shears, etc.) and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed.
•Performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
•Works closely with Sheet Metal Operators to complete projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
•Follow instructions from the supervisor or leadman to perform manual labor tasks.
•Assisting Sheet Metal Operators daily.
•Report issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions.
•Choosing the right sheet metals to use for the project based on plans and blueprints.
•Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specifications.
•Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installation.
Qualifications
•Familiarity with tools and machinery.

•Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
•Familiarity with industry health and safety standards
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to lift and move over 25+ pounds.
•Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
•Physical strength and stamina.
•Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment.
