Assistant Shift Manager
Responsibilities and Duties:
•Accountable for all daily operations of the food service operation
•Train and develop all food service personnel
•Provide the best customer experience to every customer
•Greet every guest with a smile and a sincere "Hello"
•Demonstrate leadership and promote teamwork
•Motivate staff to continually improve performance
•Effectively address employee relations issues
•Ensure inventory levels are properly maintained in order to increase sales volume and control inventory
•Manage the cleaning and maintenance of food service equipment and related CPU/register equipment for efficient operation.
•Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently
•Be directly responsible for all fund reconciliation and inventory audits
•Prepare or supervise preparation of all required paperwork
•Maintain safety and security of the restaurant and document any accidents or incidents that occur
•Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws within the scope of the food service operation
•Manage the maintenance of the environment inside and around the perimeter of the restaurant
•Ensure that all personnel know and follow all company policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications:
•2 - 3 years of food service shift leader or assistant manager experience
•Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced work environment
•Must be able to work a flexible shift, including nights, weekends and holidays in order to provide management coverage when the Store Manager is not present
•Must have great customer service skills and have work references
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
•Ability to bend down, stoop low, and stand for at least 8 hours
•Ability to properly lift, pull, and/or push up to 30 lbs
•MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills
