Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Parts/Warranty Location: Reports To: Service Manager Department: FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Code: Supervises Others: No SUMMARY
The Parts/Warranty will be responsible for performing accounting and clerical functions to document, report, and maintain an accurate record of business transactions. The specific functions performed may vary based upon the responsibilities assigned to the individual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Field phone calls and e-mails to address concerns from current sales customers.Answer questions regarding parts orders, pricing, availability and shippingTroubleshoot issues remotely with current sales customers.Communicate professionally with vendors and locate appropriate services.Coordinate and negotiate pricing agreements for service with vendors.Submit check requests for customer reimbursement along with relevant information packets.Provide customer service in addressing customer concerns.Document all calls and authorizations with accuracy.Maintain a working log of customer concerns.Ship parts approved by Fleet Maintenance.Ship or pick up any deliveries that were unable to be processed by the delivery driver.Pick up local deliveries.Distribute parts for daily local repairs and accurately track distribution for accurate inventory accounts.Review and approve or negotiate repair estimates.Manage payment to vendors for completed repairs.Prepare Departure kits for the rental counter.Maintain a neat and organized work area.Perform other accounting related tasks as assigned. Education and/or Experience
High School or equivalent diploma required; Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university is desired; prior related work experience desired. Ability to 10 key type with speed and accuracy is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Access, Excel, Word) is desired.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear and use hands to handle, feel, or type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
