(sm) As the Sr. Director Technology Delivery Lead , your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the development and implementation of information systems and business process services to support the success of a key a strategic payer partner in Puerto Rico. This involves administering and evolving the current state and future state technology landscape and managing day-to-day business and technology operations for sourced functions. You will be responsible for inter-entity systems and initiatives, information systems service delivery and the management of Business/IT operations. This position is responsible for operationalizing and executing on the Optum-client BPO/ITO agreement, providing strong leadership, clear priorities and direction to leadership teams all in the best interest of a world-class client experience. The services are part of a broad, highly visible, and innovative partnership between Optum and the client. The successful candidate must be passionate about driving improvements in health care, effective at working in a fast-paced and complex environment as well as confident and collaborative in their interactions with senior executives, and business partners. Critical to this role is the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels, with both internal and external stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities: Oversee BPO and ITO elements of the contract agreement that affect operations, including strategic targets and outcomes, and ensure alignment with overall IT strategy Understand unique business requirements and technology solution needs of the Optum-client. Interface directly with clients to understand their needs and how our operations can evolve Own software engineering, reliability engineering, system/solution/application architecture, dev/ops, end to end technology service and best practice adoption Participate in the creation and delivery of technology roadmaps and architecture guidelines Partner with all parts of Optum to develop, deliver and support high quality software products Oversee the implementation of planned IT modernization, rationalization and efficiency plans established for this component of the broader managed services partnership Incorporate existing enterprise technology standards, security and capabilities into solutions as applicable Proactively identify new and emerging technology solutions to support business excellence Lead client governance teams to manage and meet contract commitments, requirements and expectations Communicate with and help stakeholders (e.g., client, sales, business partner, vendors) interpret contractual requirements in order to drive effective IT strategy implementation and problem mitigation Manage project performance against established service level agreements and success measures, such as employee engagement by working with internal business partners (e.g., finance, human capital) Provide effective leadership to management team, retains talent to achieve strategic goals, and provide regular feedback on performance and competencies Review consolidated operational performance reports in order to determine overall effectiveness, make necessary changes, and identify opportunities for innovative IT initiatives and performance improvement Build collaborative relationships across all delivery and support teams across the broad managed services partnership to drive overall performance for the client and for Optum Leadership experience working with cross-functional teams involving direct reports, matrix partners, and vended services Drive a culture of quality and client loyalty (high Net Promoter Scores) Manage internal Optum budget and P/L targets in context of successful client delivery Participate in growth and business development activities related to client and broader Puerto Rico opportunities You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. ENGLISH PROFICIENT ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED AFTER APPLICATION Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or higher 15 years of technology leadership experience 10 years of experience managing / leading teams, including managing leaders 5 years' experience leading and delivering a large, complex managed services delivery agreement (contract obligations), including oversight of strategy/technical roadmap, financials/budget, contract deliverables, relationships, and vendor management 5 years' experience driving innovations/initiatives from ideation and strategy development to design and execution Experience with outsourcing & commercial contract management Experience deploying and supporting highly scalable technology solutions Proven end-to-end technical product life-cycle management for applications and platforms Experience building relationships cross-functionally and leading toward common goals Excellent program and client relationship management skills, demonstrated through strong written and oral communication Strong influencing, problem solving and negotiation skills Proven leader with demonstrated ability to confidently drive forward business strategy and performance Primary residence must be located in Puerto Rico Fluent in both Spanish & English Proficiency Preferred Qualifications: Graduate degree in related field (MBA, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Engineering, etc.) Experience with complex managed services delivery engagements In-depth knowledge of Optum service delivery model and operations Experience working in the Healthcare industry Previous Budgetary P&L / ITO accountability >$30M Previous consulting / client facing engagement including vendor, contract and performance related management Application of ITSM with focus on change management and agile methodologies Careers with Optum.
