We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of deferred revenue, revenue recognition, and accounting treatment for sponsorships. This role will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions related to these areas are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with accounting principles and company policies.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Make and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries. Responsible for accurate and timely entries, research supporting transaction detail, and records necessary accounting adjustments and ensuring that entries comply with U.S. GAAP. Compare expenses to prior months and budget, investigate any variances.Manage the monthly accrual process.Assists team with year-end and monthly close.Assist team with inventory account reconciliations.Identifies areas of improvement, process improvement, and cost savings.Maintains fixed assets and depreciation schedule and coordinates fixed asset tracking.Crosstrain with team members and help document accounting policies and procedures.Performs other related duties as assigned to support the Finance department.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Master's degree preferred.Three or more years of accounting experience, with a focus on complex financial analysis and reporting.Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP.Multi-entity accounting and international accounting experience is a plus.Accounting ERP experience (preferably NetSuite) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to lead and mentor others.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
