Responsibilities:
Assist with the month-end closing process, financial statement review and analysis, and compilation of financial statements to be distributed to the Controller and Executive Leadership
Perform account reconciliations and detailed analyses
Investigate discrepancies and inform the Controller of critical issues allowing the organization to make the necessary changes
Participate in developing and administering accounting policies and internal controls, including suggestions for improvements and automation in the accounting space
Daily cash management, banking, and cash flow projections
Assist with various financial and overhead audits and requests
Support with FAR compliance and annual overhead preparation
Administer the project reporting process to communicate profitability to various executives and project directors
Aid in the maintenance of sub-ledgers within the accounting software
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working in a fast-paced public corporate business environment
Experience in project-based accounting preferred
Proficiency with financial-based software; Deltek Accounting software preferred
Experience in the Architecture/Engineering (A&E) industry is a plus
CPA required
Proficient in GAAP and FAR regulations
