The Tax Manager possesses solid technical skills, is able to formulate recommendations and implement solutions to technical issues. They are able to learn new skills quickly and effectively share technical depth with others to build the firm's technical expertise. They participate in and seek training to maintain current technical knowledge.
They develop complete knowledge of the firm's philosophy and are conversant with its reports, policies and procedures, and opinions on financial matters. They are expected to promote the most efficient operation of the firm by using their talents in staff management and training. They are able to make broad decisions in the course of their work, have knowledge of general economic and political trends, proposed pronouncements, and possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate.
