**Team Leader**
**Location:** Paris, IL, US, 61944 **Job Summary**
Provides production team leadership, monitors and coordinates production team activities, addresses open issues, and promotes the achievement of established goals for employees working on a particular production process or line through problem solving activities.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
1. Provides a good example to his/her team members - promoting teamwork
2. Fosters a positive, cooperative, safe, and clean work environment
3. Performs hourly quality and efficiency checks
4. Understands and maintains SOS sheets and 20 Tools Books
5. Provides ongoing training and coaching of operators
6. Identifies problems - finding root causes and implement countermeasures
7. Coordinates quality between departments - following the 3-5-10-25 rule
8. Promotes communication between departments/shifts with operators and supervisors (i.e.: safety, quality, and production)
9. Acts as department supervisor in his/her absence - making sound decisions
10. Ensures continuous compliance with company policies and processes
11. Monitors the processes and personnel to help reduce scrap and maintain 6's
12. Promotes and actively participates in continuous improvement and Kaizen activities
13. Initiates and/or leads Problem Solving Activities - participating in problem solving teams
14. Addresses and/or reports abnormalities
15. Performs other duties as assigned
**Requirements**
16. High School Diploma or GED
17. 1 to 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
18. Completion of NAL Team Leader Training
19. Training and understanding of how to measure parts for dimensions
20. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Knowledge and understanding of Kanban and NAL Production System
b. Knowledge and understanding of all production-related documentation
c. Analytical and problem solving skills
d. Organizational and planning skills
e. Computer skills proficiency in standard business software (including MS Office)
f. Leadership skills
g. Written and verbal communications skills
h. Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of authority throughout the company and maintain composure in pressure situations
