Operates various types of equipment in the performance of the job. Assists crew leader, journeyman and others in performing assigned tasks to include such work as; installing pipe/conduit, construction of all types of canal and water systems, building forms, mixes and applies various construction material and products, masonry and concrete work, electrical meter installation, installing and terminating electrical cable, repair and assembly of electrical equipment and structures, rigging equipment to be lifted. Uses hand tools to complete assigned work. Performs or assists in the disassembly, repair, assembly and testing of various equipment. Responsible for safety of others and that work is accomplished in a cost effective manner. Keeps work areas and premises in a neat, clean and orderly manner. Must be willing to accept emergency call outs during off duty hours and occasionally work nights and work temporarily out of town. Other duties as assigned. Employee must work safely and efficiently in the performance of their job duties. Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and the public.
