THE BEACH CLUB RESTAURANT HOST
Greets and seats guests in the restaurant in a gracious manner to ensure a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly restaurant.
Greet and seat guests; present menus to guestsObserve tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tablesBus tables and vacuum floors as the need arises.Take guest information and quote wait times as accurately as possible when tables are not immediately availableClean, organize and stock menus at the hostess areaCheck restrooms for neatness and supplies and request custodial services as neededAnswer telephone and all questions regarding the menu and restaurantInteract with guests as they enter and leave the restaurant to ensure positive dining experienceAssist with "to go" orders as neededPerform other assigned duties as needed Required Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with guests and good phone etiquetteAbility to read, write and determine wait time based on procedures.Ability to visually scan the restaurant for table readiness (such as how long a table might be ready for another seating)Some computer/technology knowledge required. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk during entire shiftAbility to reach, bend and stoopAbility to carry 20 pound high chairs several times during a shift over a medium distance
Compensation: $14.00 per hour
