New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a five-year maximum
New hire education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

OVERVIEW:
To support the use of computer software; to prepare documentation of software and its uses; and to develop training programs in the use of software applications.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School education required and minimum one year experience developing and delivering computer-related training Strong computer software skills with proven expertise utilizing MS Office Suite software Expertise in training and the methods involved in learning and instruction and developing effective and creative curriculum Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with district personnel of all levels Ability to organize, prioritize, assume responsibility, problem solve and meet deadlines while working under pressure and with minimum supervision Knowledge and experience in the use of district administrative computing procedures preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop curriculum, course materials and lesson plans for district personnel in the use of various software packages and district student-based applications Provide training and technical support in a classroom environment Provide phone and/or remote desktop support, as part of a call center, for district personnel in the use of the district's student information system Assist Information Systems staff and district personnel in the preparation of course materials and in the maintenance of current training materials to keep documentation current Review technical material and rework for district personnel and general audience comprehension and usage Establish course calendars/descriptions to be distributed electronically to district personnel Assist in the coordination of the use and availability of the district's PC Lab with other departments; assist Information Systems staff in the maintenance of the PC Lab Create and update administrative training web site Research new training techniques and suggest enhancements to existing training programs Train computer software applications and other newly developed technology products; identify training needs, instructional materials and support resources Perform software application troubleshooting Regular and on-time attendance required Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Assist and interface with Information Systems and other district personnel to research, identify and report software bugs Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities SUPERVISION
