About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Accounting and Reporting with a strong background in accounting to oversee all accounting functions related to the corporate segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the monthly close process, managing internal and external reporting obligations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and STAT standards. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and a CPA designation. Public accounting or Big 4 experience is preferred. The VP will also be involved in developing and implementing control frameworks, process improvement strategies, and will be a key player in special projects requiring expertise in insurance accounting, data analysis, and IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing financial statements and footnotes, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, and liaising with external audit teams. Strong technical US GAAP and Statutory basis accounting knowledge is essential, as is the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment. Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus. The role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster internal and external relationships, and the ability to work across department functions and locations. The VP will also be expected to automate reports and disclosures, oversee account reconciliations, and manage the ERP maintenance process.
