About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead the establishment of its first sales team, including regional and district sales managers, and sales representatives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the initial product launch and will work closely with the commercial management team to formulate strategies and programs. Responsibilities for this role include partnering with commercial analytics and operations and HR to design an incentive plan, as well as planning and executing sales training, meetings, and POAs. An empowered and entrepreneurial mindset is essential, as is the ability to build a sales force from the ground up and experience in developing and launching strategies for a significant biotech or pharmaceutical product in the U.S. marketplace.The candidate should be a strategic thinker, capable of working with cross-functional teams, and have a proactive and dynamic approach to sales management.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree, 8-10 years' of experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, with a preference for rare disease or orphan drug experience, and a proven track record of success and promotions. The role of Vice President of Sales at the company requires a candidate with a strong history of success, preferably in the rare disease or orphan drug arenas, and experience in a similar role with a focus on building a sales force and product launch. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at fostering a culture of growth and development within the sales team.
