The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a culture of quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements, with a focus on optimizing quality and reducing risk. This role involves designing and executing global quality strategies, maintaining quality policies and objectives at all levels of the organization, and leading a team that promotes best-in-class quality to support the commercialization of clinical therapies and marketed products. The VP, Quality will have end-to-end quality responsibilities, including leading GLP, GCP, and GMP functions, and will be accountable for shaping the quality organization.
Applicants must have an advanced degree in a relevant discipline, a minimum of 15 years of quality experience in a biotech/pharma environment, and at least 5-7 years as a functional head of quality. Experience with late-stage and commercial products, particularly in the areas of injectables and drug-device combination products, is essential. The role requires a deep working knowledge of quality systems, standards, and compliance, as well as experience with regulatory inspections and interactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a high-performing quality team, be an established leader in the pharmaceutical industry, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities also include leading quality management reviews, championing continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
