Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the receipt of products, picking, packing and shipping of customer orders. Must ensure work is done accurately and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction internally and externally, and to maintain accurate inventory. Will maintain compliance with OSHA Standards, ensure required material handling equipment documentation is up to date, and the equipment is mechanically safe to operate. In Addition, will conduct associate safety training, be a trainer for skills necessary for sub-ordinates to perform their job assignments and communicate expectations to associates in the workplace. Will also establish and promote a work environment among co-workers that supports compliance with TPR Quality System and Terumo’s policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow requirements of the TPR Quality System; including but not limited to requirements for identification and traceability of product and segregation of non-conforming product.
Ensure warehouse objectives are met according to TPR’s Scorecard and Departmental goals.
Ensure all warehouse Associates and new hires are provided orientation, training, coaching, and counseling, as needed.
Responsible for ensuring warehouse is maintained in a clean and organized manner, in compliance by Regulatory Agency requirements.
Effectively communicate job expectations to adhere Company policies and procedures.
Participate in and oversee physical inventories, cycle counting and reconciling variances when required. Must adhere to and follow written procedures to ensure inventory integrity.
Participate in project performance team meetings on behalf of the job unit to provide ideas, methods and processes for performance improvement.
Oversee and participate in the receiving of product, verifying accuracy and warehousing to assigned locations.
Submit change orders as required for procedure and/or changes/obsolescence of controlled documents.
Assign duties to staff to ensure work is completed and warehouse is maintained in optimum conditions, organized and clean.
Schedule preventive maintenance and breakdown service for all warehouse equipment.
Filing of Carrier Claims
Maintain a good working environment with the Warehouse team.
Identify and execute Process Improvement and 5S Lean process initiatives in the Department.
Manage Performance issues and discipline as needed. Must conduct one on one’s with each team member at least every 2 months to ensure expectations are met accordingly.
Ensure compliance with all TPR procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Material Management. A Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
Five years or more experience in the management of a distribution and warehouse regulated environment.
Three to five years’ previous supervisory experience is required.
Solid experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device Industry.
Solid interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to successfully manage time.
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent organizational skills with strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
Knowledge of International Shipping Regulations and Import/Export Compliance.
Strong background in transportation and logistics and all applicable laws and regulations.
SAP experience is a must.
Lean, 5S and root cause analysis knowledge.
Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license is required.
Capability to lift 50 pounds, basic math skills, basic computer literacy (data entry and inventory software), communication skills and hand-eye coordination is required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
