Summary
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc., makers of Yellawood brand Pressure Treated Pine, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This position will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for shipment. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package.
Essential Duties: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shippers to rectify damages and shortages.Responsible for placing identifying information on the material upon arrival at the plant site.Routes items to inventory.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.May operate industrial lift truck or uses tractor truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments to storage or work area.Maintains traffic flow through the white yard and assists in staging shipments for outbound loads.Assists in stacking lumber or moving products by hand as needed. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
