What you will be doing:
•Responsible for the performance of accounting functions including monthly and year-end closing activities, and preparation of financial statements. Assist in payroll and accounts payable processes.
•Assist in the development of annual budgets and the ongoing monitoring of budgets. Provide information and education to management team to assist in departmental oversight of financial operations.
•Responsible for the collection of information for annual tax, annual financial audit, and Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
•Preparing and organizing financial and accounting transactions. Prepare financials statements.
•Provide support to Directors in regards to budgets and financial reports.
•Meet reporting deadlines.
•Support month- and year-end close processes.
•Prepare, verify, allocate and post journal entries.
•Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
•Prepare requested reports.
•Data analysis.
•Multi-task and be able to quickly switch gears between tasks as required.
•Adapt to different financial and reporting software.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field; and three (3) years' general experience in the financial/accounting field.
or Master's degree in Business Administration or Healthcare related field; and two (2) years' general experience in the Patient Accounting field.
•Someone that has skills in the following: active listener, organizational capabilities, problem solving, verbal and written communication, analytical thinking,
time management, proficient in Excel, able to maintain strong working relationship with staff.
Benefits Hours and compensation potential:
•Position is for full time, Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm.
•Range is between $47K-$70K depending on experience and benefits.
