Accountant I

• Perform monthly close process and analyze financial results.
• Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations in a monthly basis.
• Participate in physical inventories.
• Participate in external and internal audits to ensure compliance.
• Document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Fixed Assets management.
• Assist with Capital & Expenditure (CAPEX) requests and Depreciation projections.
• Perform the processing of functional and benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.
• Prepare and analyze the monthly budget/forecast to actual variance.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned, based on the role.
• Support lean initiatives
Requisitos:
1. Bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting
2. Strong knowledge in computers (MS Office - Excel)
3. Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
4. Excellent interpersonal skills
5. Written and oral communication skills (Spanish and English)
